This is my favorite book ever. It has everything in it: beauty, warmth, honesty both lovely and brutal, and so much humor and life.
Okay, I wanted to hate this book and I did at first. The overuse of cliched metaphors is unbearable, truly. And I was sick to my stomach for the first quarter of it when thinking about how many lives and livelihoods hang in the balance yet it's all just a big game to everyone involved (I mean, we all know that's how it works, but it's hard to read about it in such frank detail). But I can't deny it was a page turner and more than held my interest. Also, because I'm a horrible person, I couldn't help but get plenty of smug satisfaction from the Palin section.
