Read this last night in about an hour (not surprising as it is a kid's book). I wanted to read some more books by Lowry who wrote The Giver which is a very interesting book. This was a cute tongue-in-cheek poke at old-fashioned kid's literature and current literature. I think she may have been poking a little fun at The Series of Misfortunate Events series (which I dislike by the way). It was a fun book so I am having Cooper read it before I return it to the library.
