Surprisingly compelling for a story about superheroes without any actual superpowers and no character development to speak of. In fact both of those facts turn out to be features, rather than bugs, since they make the story more realistic and the characters more...well, not sympathetic, but believable. The ending is incredibly unsatisfying, partly for good, moral-ambiguity reasons, and partly for bad, too-sudden ending reasons.
This is another book about Abraham Lincoln.
