An amazing ending to an excellent series. I have to admit, I didn't read anything else for a month or so, because I could not let go of my attachment to the characters and storyline of this series. In my mind nothing could allow me to disappear into another world quite like this series did and the ending was more than I could have hoped for.
Nina just got out of a bad marriage, she always wanted a dog, she went to the pound to get a perky puppy and ends up adopting Fred, who is a depressed dog, it was his last day at the pound. Nina teaches Fred to use the fire escape when needing to do his duty, and Fred helps her to meet the young man who lives downstairs. Another good book by Jennifer Cruise.
Fascinating doesn't even begin to describe this book. This book had 2 things going for it even before I started the book. It was about old Hollywood and it was a fat book. Once I started the book, I couldn't put it down and I think my muscles have gotten even more muscular as a result of that. Well worth my time spent lugging this book around!
