A different slant on historical mystery. Well written with a good plot that contained much too much political intrigue for me that I couldn't follow. Characters were good.
** spoiler alert ** Not bad at all, but the fact that this was Book 4 in the original Swedish series made it a little difficult for English readers to pick up the threads, especially relating to Ann Lindell (whom I only found out after the fact is meant to be the main protagonist/detective)? Also, I didn't like that the criminal was suddenly introduced into the book toward the end so one could never have guessed the ending - sucks, man!
