I am 3/4 done with the book and I am not blown away, but I am enjoying it. Maybe if I hadn't had it so hyped up I would have enjoyed it a bit more. I do not want to make it sound bad, but the characters do not speak to me as I thought they would.
This book is fun. It's ridiculous to the point of absurdity: it features a Professor of Hitler Studies, crazy black-cloud infestations, and weird medical experimentation on depressed people. And the craziest part is that everyone reacts as if it's all simply normal--nothing in the life of this book is too surprising or unexpected.
