This is a marvelous book which I read to Annie Graner. It is so creative! We made a play out of this in 5th grade and it was great fun. It is the tale of a balloonist who crash lands on Krakatoa just before the explosion of 1883 and discovers a group of residents who have built an unusual life for themselves. Highly recommended!
Ok I admit, I love the Dresden books. They are fun and predictably entertaining. This one was no exception. My only complaint, if any, is that the story relied heavily on remembering the previous book, which I had read a ways back and it was a bit hazy. This was not a problem that detracted form the story, or even tripped me up. It was just frustrating not remembering details from Butcher's previous outing in order to place characters and plot point.
