At first I had a hard time getting into the book, caring about the characters. The author didn't really make them seem alive. Then I realized it was the story of her life and that made it more interesting.
I know her book, Demon Trappers Daughter, that this novella is based on has been well reviewed but I personally just did not feel it at all. The writing was fine, its just the story didn't grasp me. Sorry I can't offer anything more constructive.

Wow. The artwork alone is absolutely incredible and it conveys the emotion of the story pefectly. Such an emotional story. This is one of those that sticks with you for a long time after you've finished. It's been so long since I've seen the movie and this makes me want to run out and get it. This is definitely a book I will be adding to my collection.
