I SO SO SO hope that there is a second book in the making! I absolutely loved this book! Reminds me so much of Diana Galbadon and the Outlander series (as well as the more recent, Mistress of Rome). This, to me, is historical fiction at it's finest. The characters are so well developed that you fall in love instantly and don't even realize how much history you are reading/learning about. Set in the spring of 1708 when the Jacobite's nearly succeed in helping James Stewart reclaim his crown, combined with the "time travel" element of present day author Carrie McClelland who hopes to turn the story into her next best selling novel, resulting in a wonderful spell that mingles past with present!! LOVED it!!!
