It was a great book i can't wait to read the second one when it comes out!
blasphemous & untrue, but I couldn't put it down. I read it over three days.
I am not going to give a review, only say I think I just don't find this writer fits me.

If Parker was a screen writer, he'd be writing screenplays where there was a lot of talking and character development and thinking and tension but not a great deal of action. And where there was action, it would be fast and ugly and shocking. In that more cinematic sense, he's like the Takeshi Kitano of fantasy fiction - blackly humorous, obsessed with detail, and utterly in control of each and every thing that doesn't happen on screen. But if you expect another Fencer trilogy, or even another Engineer, think again; Parker continues to prove he is one of the most unique writers in the genre, capable of breaking his own mold while still retaining all his flavor.
