Better than Kite Runner. Still painfully realistic, but worth reading at least once.
Odd, but in an insanely good way
Enjoyed the narration and the way every scene/ season is described to detail.. The use of the language was quite beautiful..
One of the best novels I've read, and novel-reading experiences I've had. I read it senior year of high school and just didn't "get" it. Then I read it again, mainly during long subway rides in NY (one from the top of the Bronx back to Brooklyn, after a disappointing party), and was amazed. I GOT the whole point. The POSSIBILITIES. The *attention to detail*. The long night on the observation tower, tracing, wondering, en-visioning. I became very emotionally involved with this book -- more than any other book this year except The Sparrow. I didn't want it to end, so I read slower, and less... which I never do.
