Thought provoking but I didn't love it.
This was the best novel i had read last year. Couldn't put down the book once i started.
This is the third and best of Denise Swanson's Scumble River mysteries for me. While I'm still not seeing Syke as a sympathetic heroine she made more sense and stuff in this one that she has to date. Interesting mystery and interesting whodunit.
Dear Publishers, Please stop misleading your readers. If you write a description like this, and talk about how the town is hiding one giant secret, then make sure the book lives up to that mysterious feel. Otherwise, you'll get something like this, which just didn't work, was boring, and not at all creepy.
