This book's goal is to debunk several of the Jackie Robinson myths and realistically portray JR's rookie year of baseball. It was nice to get a different perspective on JR, although the book sometimes lacks details I would have liked to have seen. It definitely gave me a greater appreciation for what JR did.
Part of the story was a typical romance but the life in the outback was great reading
