The book is interesting, I actually found the latter parts of the book interesting in terms of the bureacracy and the workings of international agencies, grant gving, etc... However I find (probably like the author) it difficult to really get a grasp on Paul Farmer as a man and his thought processes. I also understand some of what he is doing, but not all. This ambivalence is also probably due to the fact that the author himself is actually very much involved in the book and the observations, and doesn't appear to be able to step back himself. This lessens its strenght as a biography, but does make it more interesting to read as a novel.
