This book is exceptionally well written. Think Shirley Jackson's "The Lottery," meets Lord of the Flies meets The Giver with a little Survivor thrown in for good measure and the reader starts to wonder what sort of a mind must one have to conjure up this plot. Undoubtedly, there are many who will find the plot and several of its details to be more than they've bargained for, but don't discount this novel. Add to all of this that this book is merely the first chapter in a trilogy, and know that I'm hooked, and eagerly awaiting book two's September release date.
