It was slow going at times, but overall quite fascinating. I really didn't know a whole lot about the details of Eleanor Roosevelt and FDR's relationship, so that was interesting - as well as all the programs and laws that are still on the books today that were started out of necessity, initially to be in place only temporarily, during the war. And Eleanor Roosevelt was a very complicated woman and I enjoyed learning more about her background, and about her causes...she really fought hard for many of the disenfranchised people of this country and was an impressive figure in her time. It is too bad there are not more like her in politics today.
I had a hard time getting into this book but once I did, I really enjoyed it. It was also a little predictable for me. Overall, a good book.
