holes a excting and fun book that came out in 1998 with 256 pages writen by louis sachar. durring this book stanley yelnets gets sent to camp green lake because of his curse that his great-great-grandfather gave to him. he has to dig a hole five feet long and five feet deep evey day.this story takes place in the middle of texas and it is very hot there and i dont think it can take place any were else. stanley is 15 years old and has really bad luck, and zero is a quiet and strong kid and he is homeless. stanley gets into troble and has to go to camp green lake fo what he did and digs holes all day long. every day it is hot and know one wants to be there but zero, he likes to dig holes. zero and stanley end up running away and find gods thumb. then goes back to camp and finds the treaser that they were diging fo in the fist place and become very rich. i like this book and i think that every one should read it because it's fun and a easy read and you will like it. i also like this book because luis uses flashback to get the history of his great-great- grandfather and what happend to him. the stoy all comes to gether in the end of it.
