alışılmadık, eğlenceli, çok şey öğrendim.
gerçekten iyi bir kitap (: Ben onların tarihini göstermek nasıl sevdim. ama keşke son daha mutlu olurdu!
This book made me fall in love with physics all over again. Much like spinning together a crazy plot or fairy tale, scientists must think "out-of-the-box" in order to take a theory to the next level. You kind of feel lighter than air as you read about their thought process. I loved picturing Einstein at his home with his newborn son on his knee, plotting how light affects the conversion from mass to energy. There is something fantastic about equations--the way all the pieces fit together is quite inspiring. Bodanis also describes how the atomic bomb was developed and other applications of of E=mc(squared). Anyway, Bodanis is one of my favorite authors. I would also recommend his book about Emilie du Chatlet and Voltaire. He manages to merge science with history and make his vignettes come alive with oodles of odd factoids and anecdotes. I see here that one reviewer thought that some of the mathematics in this book were incorrect. For me, I wasn't as concerned with accuracy, preferring to read about how people solve problems, build off of each others ideas, and how jealous and ego-centric scientists can be. A great read.
This is nothing like Adams' classic novel, Watership Down. It is a creepy crawly ghost story that leaves one wondering - I thoroughly enjoyed it!
I loved this book. The cross-cultural weirdness made me laugh out loud throughout the book. I also liked how he took his feelings of isolation and boredom and made them very entertaining. Can't wait to read Pyongyang.
This is a book of Christian apologetics that reads like a Neil Gaiman novel. The book consists of correspondence between a demon and his archdemon mentor, in which they discuss the demon's various ploys to tempt humans into doing wrong. It's rich in character and insight, and believe it or not, very funny too.
Beautiful, especially the one about scars.
Love love love this character. This would be the best intro fantasy book I could give someone. Classic adventures, great storytelling, wonderful complex main character, interesting philosophy and moral core. I love it so much! I can't wait to get the next books as well. Drizzt is an epic character in an epic fantasy setting.
