This may be his best novel.
By far the best book I read at school....though I didn't know it at the time. Why is it that you only recognize a book's true greatness years after leaving school? Admittedly, Joseph Conrad is not easy to read. To say the least, his work is like Charlie Parker's music (DENSE, but perfect in every way). Oh, and Apocalypse Now (redux) is one of my top 3 movies all time.
