Is our collective moral imagination the source of god (or gods)? Robert Wright surveys the evolution of the conception of god in the 3 Abrahamic religions (Judaism, Islam & Christianity). A bit dry in spots, but a good read overall.
Wow that was a pretty major story arc resolved and I can't wait to see where Gina takes the series next! I also just LOVED Paris' HEA! Long live the Queen! :)
I don't know why I waited so long to read this book. There is so much going on here...mothers and sons, a variety of marriages, "words". I love some of the secondary characters which are so well drawn...Peggoty, Aunt Betsey, Mr. Micawber, even Uriah Heep (a despicable fellow, but well-imagined by Dickens). It's said that this is the most autobiographical of Dickens' novels. It's certainly written with descriptions of places you know Dickens has seen. All in all, a wonderful book. Highly recommended.
