A good book, but I didn't enjoy it quite as much as I hoped I would. There was just so much hype surrounding it, and then I read it immediately following Meg Cabot's Abandon, which also deals with the Persephone myth, that it didn't live up to the expectations I had. Still a great read, don't get me wrong. Also, this is one of those rarest of finds in today's teen paranormal markets: a standalone novel! I know! No waiting with bated breath for months to find out what happemns with a vital plot line or cliff hanger. It was refreshing to put the book down and know how things end. Also, Carter does put an interestin twist on things in the end.
Totally love this series and was lucky enough to get an english version of "the girl that plays with fire". I am sad there is only one more in this series and hope the rumor of the 4th one is true. Dig this character, the story, and the writing.
