As usual a fun read and I had no idea who the culprit was until the end. I am going to give the brioche recipe a try one of these days.
This book was all-consuming - I could not put it down once started. Matt Ruff writes an incredible story that kept me guessing the entire time. Is the main character sane? Is this just the ramblings of paranoid schizophrenic? Just when I had my mind made up, the story would twist, and I went back and forth more than once. I don't know how to describe it except as 1984 on an acid trip, and funny. A good psychological thriller.
Another crazy adventure for Marla and the gang. I liked this one better than the first because it actually took place in Marla's town.
Stephen King says: "This sequel to Hollywood Station doesn't live up to its predecessor...but it's close, and still a fine, funky read with an all too believable murder plot. Wambaugh's Hollywood is an open-air psycho ward where even the cops need Valium."
