Brilliant little book. Pearson does an excellent job of capturing a time when loving a rock star/pop idol was an innocent thing. Thirteen is not an age I'd want to relive, but I remember having my crushes on pop stars (thankfully I never kissed their posters!). This book weaves a teenage male/female point of view of pop idols, loathing for boys, worshiping for girls. Then weaves at middle age perspecitve on life and past loves. The characters are just spot on. No silly twists and turns into unbelievable destinies. Loved this look.
