Laurann Dohner sure has a way to really heat things up. This new series of hers is driving me bonkers! I'M IN LOVE WITH IT! It had me up all night and my eyebags couldn't be any worse...and I couldn't be any more happier! Story goes...Mika is human and Grady is a werewolf...and they're stuck together during Mating Heat. After all Mika was an important family member of the head alpha's extended family, Grady was chosen to be her bodyguard so no wayward werewolf would mate her. The only flaw in that plan was who would save Mika from Grady...and Grady from Mika? My thoughts...this was one story that I really enjoyed. Although both characters sure have that I-want-to-f**k-your-brains-out flair, their resistance is endearing and the passion building between them is simply mind-blowing! This just proves that Mating Heat between shifters doesn't have to start with extreme IWTFYBO (yeah I made it up!). The passion between them that's building makes it all the more hotter and when they finally get to that part where they just HAVE to do IT, the intensity of the story reaches the reader. Laurann Dohner is simply superb!!
The evil, doom-shrouded hero. A nice break from all those upbeat fantasy books. Tragedy stalks Elric's life, and when you have a sword that sucks people's souls, sometimes your friends souls, you can see why.
