This is my favorite book ever. I couldn't really say why. As a teen, I identified with Emma Woodhouse - wanting to interfere in people's lives to make them happy, or at least happy as I saw it. And of course it always backfired. Plus Jane Austen is amazing. I reread this book once every two years or so, and I never tire of it. (Also: Alicia Silverstone pulled off a great Emma in 1995's Clueless.)
so, the movie version left out a lot, huh?
