This book is a romance novel, nothing more. The time-traveling is not the plot, nor the subplot, it is simply a fact. This whole book is about the romance of Henry and Claire and how much sex they have, and OH MY GOODNESS THAT IS GRAPHIC and I don't even know what that word means and DO YOU KNOW WHAT MARRIED MEANS YOU WHORE???? The reason I kept reading this book is that is so obviously the author's day dream. A Librarian, who is really tough and can beat people up and pick locks, who is a great lover and supports you as an artist and also is your 6 year old imaginary friend and there to beat up all your horrible dates as a teenager and so forth. There is no point to this book. I'm sorry I read it.
