It's a bit too disconnected, and goes over a lot of ground repeatedly. Plus, too many tenous connections to salt are included!
I loved this book. Along with "To Kill a Mockingbird", I think it is one of the best books ever written. Of course I am a big John Steinbeck fan. On to "Grapes of Wrath" and then "The Winter of Our Discontent".
