I am one of the many people who feel the last book was slightly depressing and out of touch with the rest of the series.
Second best Irving novel (after Garp). Very sweet, highly unusual interwoven characters and events which ultimately all come together to shape fate. Once again, it was the characters that I grew to love that really made this special.
