A dog imagines himself as the cat in Puss in Boots and goes to the store in search of the perfect boots, which he returns to try a different pair. The story continues until Dog realizes he already has the perfect boots. A cute story with colorful illustrations.
It wasn't until we got through the first couple of vhapters and arrived at Hex Hall that the story really pulled me in. The immaturity of the characters annoyed from time to time, but that's a problem that I have with YA novels once in a while. It was good enough that once I finished it I picked up the sequel in hard cover the same afternoon just to see where the story was headed. Can't wait for the third installment.
