There is no such thing as "too late" in life. Don't cling to things, because everything is impermanent. When you learn how to die, you learn how to live. Devote yourself to loving other, devote yourself to community around you, and devote yourself to creating something that gives you purpose and meaning. Death ends life, not a relationship.

I guess the ultimate test of a book is whether I'll go back to read the sequel, and since I definitely will I can't say I didn't like Matched. If I had a criticism, it would be that the story started very slowly, and that the main character spent a lot of time talking about how things to be. When I'm walking down the street I'm not thinking about how there used to be horses and wagons instead of cars, but she did spend a lot of time doing that which seemed like a way to point out to the reader that the future was really different. Once the story got moving though I really did enjoy it, and I'm looking forward to what happens next.

A very interesting book about the Geishas of Japan and about life itself. Chiyo it's a girl from a tiny village that always had a strong personality and due a large amount of twists and turns in her life ends like one of the most cherished Geishas of Japan. Always strong in her motivations, she passes through a lot of different and hard situations. A book that shows how life can take the most unexpected turns, it's a very pleasant reading.
