I loved, loved loved this book if you are into reading suspeneful and thrilling books. Well this book is for you. I am looking forward to reading more books from this author.
Read these when they were first published. Excellent series. Never saw the movies as I didn't want to spoil it for myself.
A book that asks the question "if there is no God how can there be justice?" and "if there is God, where is justice?" As Mitya says on pg. 593, "Because what is virtue- answer me that, Alexei. I have one virtue and a Chinese has another- so it's a relative thing. Or not? Not relative? Insidious question! You musn't laugh if I tell you that I didn't sleep for two night because of it. I just keep wondering now how people can live and think nothing about these things." --So do I. A great book. Court room scene too long though.
damn, dostoyevsky, damn. love the mystery and suspense of this book. and this constant jab on guilt ... only through guilt could one find redemption?
