This book was a brithday present - and I really enjoyed reading it. It has lots of very heartbreaking moments (lets just say I was all teary in the middle of the cafe downstairs of my work....) At times it seems repetative, the same events happening over and over and over - but its a book that tells the story of losing a loved one - and the actions you go through are very repetative. All in all it was a great read. The story of Rent coming into being is only a throughline - and only because the timelines overlap with what was happening in his personal life. So if you are not a theatre person or not a fan of the show, you will still enjoy this autobiography. Enjoy!

In this book, Jerry Spinelli weaves a tense emotional tale about the perils of popularity of how a person could not always stood at the top of everything, the higher you stand the more painful it felt when you fall. Another catching plot of this book is the thrill of the first love, always so sweet and engaging. I here recommand this book to all of you who are interested in reading it, especially the girls. It is way worth to try it out.
