Zee Finch grew up in Salem, MA without a mother; her father and his male companion served as her parents. She had a wild youth and was known as "Trouble" because she would steal boats and leave them at another dock. Zee becomes as Boston psychotherapist but loses a patient as well as severs a relationship with a lover and comes back to Salem partly to see her father and partly to recover. The story line is believable, well written and I enjoyed this book very much.
Changed the way I looked at the world forever...and for the better.
