I knew the basic premise of this book but I have never read it before now, nor had I seen the movie (crazy, I know!) I loved it! I read it to my 4-year old. I cried at the end. I was deeply touched by Charlotte's selfless life. Very touching and endearing story.
These last books are great! I have really enjoyed Sanderson's diligence in getting the final chapters written and published. I had felt that, by the time of Knife of Dreams, the story was bogged down, but these latest installments are moving along nicely. I am eagerly awaiting the next and last book!
Shoulder the Sky is the second World War I book by acclaimed Victorian murder mystery author Anne Perry. It kept me guessing until the very end, and the Reavley family developed more in this work, especially Joseph and Judith. The book stopped suddenly (something Perry always does well), so I have the third one, Angel in the Gloom, to start.
