What an AMAZING book! This novel opens readers to a new time in the shadow-hunter world, with a new story with some familiar faces and new one. I loved it!
This was a fun book to read. It starts out a bit slow, but once you get past the early years of grade school, etc there are a lot of interesting things to read. I was pleased to hear more about the characters I enjoy reading about so much. It was also nice to learn about where things went for Alf (James Herriot) after the books end. I enjoyed reading about how he got into writing and his struggles to get his first book published. It was also fun to read about his humble fascination with the unexpected success of his books. More than anything, it was nice to read yet another book about Yorkshire that left me feeling that there is still a great deal of good in the world.
