As many of the posters here on goodreads, I have been a Nora Roberts fan forever. So, when this book came out I didn't hesitate on purchasing it. I was not overly impressed with this book. I did not feel connected with any of the characters, I didn't think there was a strong plot or strong characters. I learned more about the restoration, the work being done, and the decorating of each room than I did on the romance between Beckett and Clare. I think this was why I never connected with the characters. I like the heat between Hope and Ryder and look forward to read their story. I think the next release is in another 6 months. Why so long between books? This is a pet peeve of mine, why is there so much time between the next release, by the time the next book comes around I almost have to read the book again to feel connected.
