Hard to believe Burroghs isn't taking great liberties, but it's still an hilarious read.
This is one of my favorite novels. Introspection, self-reproach, and the tangible effects of sin are displayed beautifully in the character of Raskolnikov. However, the more beautiful overarching theme (which is so common in Dostoyevsky's work) is grace, and eventual redemption from all predicaments.
