I've seen the play 6 times but i dont know about the book
Generally a good read. Nothing monumental. Similar themes to White Teeth and Kite Runner.
I never quite got to finish it... because I was in the middle of it when I was like, 13, and apparently it was past my bedtime and my dad was pissed, so he took it and threw it across the room... and seeing as it was my mom's copy from the 70s, it was worn out and the impact broke it in half... not sure what happened to it after that, but I didn't get to read the rest!
