Wow. Disney turned this really fantastic book into a really lousy movie.
A writer of "literary" books that don't sell finds herself in need of money. She writes a paranormal/bodice-ripper type book in secret with only her agent in the know. The author adopts a persona -- Zelda -- to go on book tours and interviews. Then it gets really strange. Very dark, but interesting. Philippa Gregory is always full of surprises.
