Moderately paced, medium detail, engaging and realistic enough characters, but a horrible ending. Read if you're a Stephenson fan, but stay away if you're looking for a gripping espionage thriller.

If you are looking for a shoot 'em up in this romance novel set in west Texas, forget it. It is an easy read when two strangers meet. Rusty Trevors comes from a great ranching family who follow "The Cowboy Code of Ethics." When Hannah returns to her family ranch and about to lose it because of her late father's ineptness she finds herself dealing with the daunting task of finding money to save it. Rusty puts up his rare breed of horses as collateral after his family convinces him he is the person best able to help the woman in need. The couple has their ups and downs, but when all is said and done, the cowboy in the white hat, comes to the rescue and gets more than he bargained for. A bride to boot. Rita Hestand is great with character, plot and knows a little about romance. This was truly a great read, and I'm not one to read romance novels. But it made me want to go to my wife and give her a kiss. She asked me what the kiss was for, and I said "I just felt like giving you a kiss." Little did she know I had just finished Hannah's Man.

one of my favorite books. but it didn't make me sad or happy, i just thought the writing was so great and the way she writes about each and every character in such a truthful manner. i recommend this to all 1.5 generation-ers.
