Definitely did not see where this one was going!
I'm not sure where this book belongs and, frankly, I'm a bit surprised that it won a Newbery Honor Award. The writing was lyrical and poetic, but the tone of the story was too dark, in my opinion, for a grade school reader.
I really like John Grisham and I think I have read all his books. I'll give this one a 4 and most of the rest 3's because they are all basically the same story after this one. Some were better than others though and I'll try to rate them accordingly...if I can remember which one is which!
wow! these people are GREAT! the mystery is..........unspeakable and dumbfounding. i suspect timmy is real cute. :)
