Read this in my 20's. Still love it.

GREAT book!!! For a young adult book, it deals with loads of serious issues. Again, I love sci-fi futuristic books that deal with issues like cloning or politics. The story is extremely powerful, and leaves no loose ends.

Much of this book is gorgeously written, and she captures some of her characters extremely well (and I can tell they'll be kicking around my head for awhile). Not all of them, though; Uncle Phillip isn't as.. substantial for me as I think he was supposed to be, for example, and in the end I'm not sure the book completely worked for me as a whole. I'm still glad I read it, though, and I recommend it.

This was an engaging story, but it sort of felt like a rip off of "Ender's Game". As I was reading it, I kept thinking, it feels like I've read this story before. It also reminded me of "Pathfinder", another great book by Orson Scott Card. Maybe this author really loves Card's style or they are secretly related. You never know.
