omg..i almost went through something exactly similar to this situation...i just wasn't his school teacher he was just out of high school...i could REALLY relate
Plath really gets at the heart of desperation here, and makes the bell jar metaphor truly work for her. I wonder if I would like this book as much now, several years out of my adolescent angst/doubt period (although I am now in my twenty-something angst/doubt period...so it might still be a great read)
