"Nomad" is a sequel to an earlier book "Infidel" and is the author's response to criticisms of Infidel. She is immensely brave as well as methodical and logical. One of the best non-fiction authors I've read. She is brilliant and inspiring. I do recommend this book, as well as Infidel.
one of my favorites from long ago
Similar to Diary of a Wimpy kid and Dork DIaries. Sofia has a school blog which she uses to post gossip, with only occasional reminders from teachers to watch nasty comments. Sophia wants to be popular, like Mia, but is on the fringe. Her BFF, Nona, and a cast of other characters round out the story set in school and dealing with parents working in the school, BFF fights, and innocent crushes. The journal format with occasional doodles will appeal to this generation. Appropriate for grades 4 and up.
What a book i can't wait for the power of six in August.... the preview at the end of this book wishes that i didnt have to wait 5 months
