Keşke 1/2 yıldız olsaydı. Bu bazı iyi anlayış sundu ve 3 yıldız daha iyi sevdim, ama benim için oldukça 4 başlar değildi. İsa Mesih hala bu konuda tüm zamanların favorisi.

As much as I love to listen to Garrison's stories on his show, I could not make my way past the first 15 pages. I violated my own "read at least 50 pages" rule. Maybe if I listened to it on tape--in SMALL doses? Or maybe I have too many great books waiting in line to be read and enjoyed to be patient with a mediocre book.

This book was not at all what I thought it would be--a story of a mountain-climbing adventure gone awry. Instead, it's more about how humans might react in life-threatening situations. There are really only 4 characters who play important roles, but the conversations they hold while other events unfold around them are key--and the book is full of surprises, although the ending might have been a little weak.

Book #11 of 2009 I'm rather ambivalent about this novel. I'm not sure I liked the way that it was written, back and forth between first person and third person. The story never seemed to stay with one person long enough to get a good flow going. Plus, I totally had the ending figured out at least 2/3 of the way into the book, maybe longer. Also, for all of the pyschology, there wasn't really any change in the characters, the plot was more about action. I don't think I have a strong desire to read any more of the Dr. Morgan Snow novels. Borrowed from the Library.

Socrates: "Indeed tell me, what do you say is holy and what do you say is unholy?" Socrates: "A holy thing, because it is holy, is it being loved by the gods, or because it is being loved by the gods, is it a holy thing?" A classic of Western Civilization.

I have read all the books and they are all great in their own ways...I think they get better and better from the third book on. The first two were good but just lack the same luster that the other books have.
