Henry James must have been a great author. How else could he have gotten away with 103-word sentences? I got more than halfway through this, then reached the library's due date. Blessedly.

Really enjoyed listening to this book. If you enjoy reading or listening to books concerning the 1930s criminals (Dillinger, Baby Face Nelson, Pretty Boy Floyd, etc.) this book is for you. The book looks 6 major crime teams in the 1930s (Dillinger, Baby Face Nelson, Pretty Boy Floyd, Barker-Carpis Gand, Machine Gun Kelley and Bonnie and Clyde) and how the FBI was formed to fight this crime wave. The book discusses FBI problems when it was first formed and how J Edgar Hoover did everything possible to not let these goofs be publicized. In the end, the FBI established itself as strong government agency to be reckoned with in the future. The sad apart about the book is all the innocent lives that were lost during these battles in the 1934-35.
