I have read this book three times already, and find that its lessons about what it means to love only deepen as the years pass and my life experience increases.
I spent half an hour trying to figure out how to describe this book. Sometimes I loved it sometimes I hated it. It was several thousand pages long and had over 100 pages of endnotes. It's not one of those books you can read 10 minutes a time on. You have to take an hour or so, and sometimes after that hour you've only read a paragraph-- a paragraph that was five pages long. But still a paragraph.
