A disappointing Gaiman novel - not quite the satiric view of American culture that was expected and also lacking the dry wit that Gaiman so readily accomplishes in other books such as Anansi and Neverwhere. Also, He tends to ramble a wee bit. Were the book 25% shorter, I suspect it would have been far more enjoyable. For those who have yet to enter the world of Gaiman, Neverwhere and Anansi are far superior.
