I don't even think this book deserves one star. For one, it is badly-written, in my opinion. I read in some reviews that some jokes in the book weren't funny, I didn't even notice there were any jokes. The whole story was just lazy. Gaping holes just everywhere. He introduced so many characters but didn't bother to explain who half of them were or what their significance was. Yes, I did get scared at some parts, but I easily get scared, that's not an achievement. I will say one thing though, I think this story was set in my province. Haha. I don't even know. There's palawan, tuba, and there's this place called Sabang where you go to to get to a nearby island.
Loved this book. Yeah it's similar to the Stand, and more recently Under The Dome, but I don't care. The subject matter of all three of those novels (it's the apocalypse, people are dying all over the place, and a select few are chosen for us to follow) is still as fascinating to me as it appears to be to Uncle Stevie. My complaint? This book was too damn short!!! I wasn't done with these characters and I was very sorry to see them go.
