tuhaf, ve çok seks ... harika, eğlenceli okuyun! Hala bummedim yedi yıl önce Seattle'da imzaladığı kitabını kaçırdım.

Mindblowing! Great collection of stories, but hopefully you like reading about Vietnam, boxers and doctors. Sometimes there are doctors that box that are Vietnam vets.

I thought that overall this was a great book. It had two different stories in India, Evie post WWII and Adela 100 years earlier. Both of the stories were well developed and the characters were very three dimensional. I learned a lot that I didn't know about India's history and some of the cultures there. I'm a little embarrassed about how little I knew about the Partition. So it was nice to learn things as well as being entertained. Some things I didn't like as much were that Adela's and Felicity's story wasn't always in the same format. It bounced between letters and journals, which was okay, but then it would oddly jump into third person narrative. And after all the drama that Evie went through and so much false hope, her final resolution with her husband didn't seem like enough. I guess that was kind of the point - that they'd always have to work on their relationship - but still, I needed something a little more. But neither of these things ruined the book for me. It was still an entertaining and informative book over all. *There is some language and sexuality in the book*
